Over several weeks he works closely with Mary while Latimer grows enthusiastic about the manuscript. The Whistler, a Signal Oil Company program, first aired on April 21, 1948, and this episode follows George's growing ambitions and the choices he makes to protect his plan.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
