What happens
Ted Stratton wakes on a dark highway outside San Francisco with no memory of how he got there, after a bitter quarrel at Norma's party in Marin County. He remembers saying he could kill Larry Craig, and he is now in Larry's car. Searching for answers, Ted finds that the situation is growing more dangerous, as he is pulled into events he cannot yet fully piece together. The Whistler series, first aired in 1945, is narrated by its host and features Marvin Miller in the announcer's role. The story follows Ted's struggle to make sense of his missing hours.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
