Rick's new fiancée, Sally Blair, claims she was with him that night, and the district attorney is left weighing her word against the evidence. The story follows Rick and Sally's uneasy relationship as the investigation continues. This episode is from The Whistler, broadcast on September 25, 1944.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
