What happens

Larry Leighton, a passenger aboard the freighter Augusta Queen, witnesses a woman named Julie Frazier leaving a quarrel in a Panama City alley with a man calling himself Roy Tate, who is later found dead. Larry takes Roy's money and the knife, then strikes up a friendship with Julie on the voyage to San Francisco. He notices her hiding a small red address book in her stateroom and copies an address from it. Once in San Francisco, Larry follows Julie to a downtown hotel and confronts her about the book.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
