What happens

Larry Layton, a passenger aboard the freighter Augusta Queen, follows a young woman named Julie Frazier into a Panama City alley and sees a man named Roy Tate die there. Back aboard ship, Larry becomes suspicious of Julie's behavior and of a small red address book he glimpses in her stateroom. The Whistler series, first broadcast on February 10, 1952, presents this strange tale of greed and danger as the ship nears San Francisco and Larry tries to uncover what the book means and why it matters so much to her.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
