What happens
Kirk Gordon, secretary to the wealthy Ernest Quinlan, flees the Quinlan estate in the Bel-Air hills after a pistol shot, having been caught in the act of a robbery. The caretaker struggles with him but cannot identify him in the dark. Kirk hides the small black bag under a bridge on the estate and carries on with his work, while lawyer Mr. Phelps begins to question him. Kirk grows increasingly anxious about what Quinlan may have discovered and whether he is being watched. The Whistler is a radio mystery series, and this episode originally aired on March 4, 1951.
