What happens
Harriet Eldridge lives in Santa Rosa with her brother Melvin, and her household is unsettled when Mr. Pettis, the man who owns the house, is away on a trip to Australia. Melvin returns from his travels, and a visitor named Valerie Hinton arrives asking for Mr. Pettis, who she believes is in Australia. Harriet grows uneasy as Valerie claims to be Mr. Pettis's niece and presses her presence in the house. The Whistler is a radio anthology series, and this episode of Grave Secret first aired on February 27, 1949.
