What happens
Johnny Turner, a down-on-his-luck pilot, takes a job flying a plane for the Continental Salvage Corporation, which says it is hunting gold in the Caribbean. Diana, his former lover and the wife of the company's boss, Frank Walsh, has steered him toward the offer. Johnny grows uneasy about the decrepit ship, the odd crew, and the plane's missing radio. Aboard the vessel, he begins to suspect the expedition is not what it claims. The episode is from The Whistler, a radio mystery series, and aired on May 12, 1948.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
