What happens
Edward McCreary waits at Union Station for Anna, a performer who is returning to Los Angeles to prepare her new ice show, and he intends to propose marriage. Her publicity agent, Sam Peters, is with him, and Anna reveals she has a new skating partner, Howard Burxton. Edward recognizes Howard as a man he cheated in St. Louis years earlier, and Howard threatens to expose him unless he stays away from Anna. The Whistler is a radio mystery series, and this episode originally aired on October 16, 1949, with Willard Waterman and Jeff Corey among its performers. Edward grows increasingly desperate as the rivalry sharpens and Howard's hold over him tightens.

Listen for: Edward's confrontation with Howard about the past in St. Louis and Howard's threat to expose him
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
