What happens
Russ Logan, a meticulous businessman, rides home with his wife Jean and partner Jim Kendrick after dinner, and his careful timetable is thrown off when Jim is shot in his den by a gunman. Russ joins the police hunt, but the arrested man is not the one Nick, the chauffeur, saw. Russ then arranges to meet the gunman, Frankie Rizzo, at a motel, and the plot unravels as the police close in. The episode aired February 24, 1952 on The Whistler, with Bill Forman in the title role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
