What happens

Tarzan and Jane search for her father, Professor Potter, who was carried off into the jungle and captured with his party by cannibals. The professor and his companions are trapped in a sacred temple cave, where they discover that the witch doctor, who was supposedly in a trance, has vanished. Outside, Tarzan and Jane watch the villagers and hear the witch doctor's strange noises, then set out toward the hills in hopes of reaching the trapped party. James H. Pierce plays Tarzan and Joanne Burrows plays Jane in this Tarzan adventure from the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels. The broadcast is dated 24 November 1932.

A jungle with a cannibal village, a sacred temple cave, and nearby hills, where the trees rise high above the ground.

Listen for: The witch doctor's strange noises and the discovery that he has disappeared from the cave.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
