What happens
Tarzan returns to his jungle home after rescuing Professor Porter and his party from cannibals, and must reclaim his leadership of the apes. Meanwhile, at the seashore, mutineers attack the white party's hut and seize Jane Porter as a hostage. Tarzan, whom the apes call Kazan, is drawn back toward the hut by feelings he cannot quite explain. At the hut, Professor Porter's companions discover that Jane has vanished in the night, and they realize the locking bar was not in place. The mutineers, led by a man named Snipes, have questioned their captives about a hidden treasure, and their demands are growing more threatening. Tarzan sets out through the trees to search for Jane.
