What happens

Tarzan and Dano are brought before Queen Tira in the Forbidden City of Hesperia, where she demands the Father of Diamonds in exchange for their freedom. Tarzan agrees to the bargain on the condition that Dano be released, and he insists he is not concerned for himself. Meanwhile, Tom and Lawson, who have followed them, make another attempt to take the diamond from the temple of Mahatu. Lawson is terrified by a flaming mask that appears above them and warns them against touching the gem. The guardian apes are roused, and Tom and Lawson flee back through the corridors, with Tarzan later returning alone to the casket.

The Forbidden City of Hesperia, including the great ceremonial hall, the Temple of Mahatu, and Queen Tirah's richly furnished chamber.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
