What happens

Tarzan returns to his jungle after a journey, only to be approached by a grand wazir sent by the Caliph of Kharadan, who invites him to the city. Refusing at first, Tarzan is persuaded when black panthers under the wazir's command surround him. In the palace he meets Medha, a long-term guest, and learns that visitors are never permitted to leave. The Caliph then asks Tarzan to tutor his son, the Amir, in the ways of the modern world. The tutoring proceeds, but the wazir grows suspicious of Tarzan's influence over the prince. The series is Tarzan, and this episode originally aired on June 21, 1951.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
