What happens

Tarzan and Captain Lawrence track and kill a man-eating lion that has been terrorizing a new settlement led by Ludwig Singer. Tarzan is troubled by the killing and decides to leave the jungle, but first he agrees to stay at the colony to train its young men in jungle skills. Meanwhile, Jerry Cromwell, the wayward son of a wealthy shipping man, is taken by his father on an African voyage after a reckless car crash and a robbery. Jerry's arc becomes tied to the settlement when he comes to its aid. Tarzan rescues Jerry from an electric eel in the sea, and the two strike up an uneasy partnership in the jungle.

The Congo jungle and desert edge of Dark Africa, a new settlement with a pipeline, Mr. Cromwell's luxurious home and his yacht the Althea, and the sea coast near Tarzan's cabin.

Listen for: Tarzan's reluctance to take life, and Jerry's relationship with his father and his hot rod.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
