What happens

Tarzan, the jungle man raised by apes, is summoned by his friend Captain Lawrence to an archaeological camp near El Amon, in an oasis of the Libyan desert. Dr. Erickson and his daughter Ilsa are being frightened by unseen enemies, and their Egyptian workers have vanished. Tarzan agrees to stay and help them find out who is behind the threats. Arnold Brown, the expedition's assistant, is among those who come under suspicion, and a symbol of two entwined snakes appears at the camp. The story is set in a tense oasis camp where mysterious warnings invoke the curse of the pharaohs. This episode is from the Tarzan radio series and was originally broadcast on August 2, 1951, based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' writing.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
