What happens

Mink Morris and her friend Anna play an invasion game in their backyard while the adults around them grow uneasy about the strange behaviour of the children. Mink's mother, Mary Morris, becomes disturbed by her daughter's secretive preparations and phones her husband Henry at the office. Mary's neighbour Helen also calls about the children's game, which seems to be spreading through the town. As five o'clock approaches, the children's talk of zero hour grows more ominous, and the Morrises begin to feel that something is about to happen in their own home. This is the first half of Ray Bradbury's story Zero Hour, presented on Suspense in 1958, starring Evelyn Rudy.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
