What happens
Johnny Murphy, an eleven-year-old boy, and his friend Peter Kahn wander to the city dump on a morning when radium has gone missing from Middle Branch Hospital. Johnny's father, George Murphy, an amateur uranium prospector, is called in with his Geiger counter to help the hospital staff search for two platinum capsules. Nurse Helen Webster, who is soon to take charge of the radium room, and Dr. Carl Hunter oversee the hunt. The boys' outing and the staff's search run side by side through the day as the staff grows increasingly worried about what the missing capsules could do to someone who handles them. This guide does not cover the outcome.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
