What happens
Joe Jordan, a bitter machinist at Acme Engineering, nurses a grudge against his foreman, Charlie Harris, after a run of public humiliations at the plant. When Jordan learns that Charlie plans to marry Harriet, a stenographer he had hoped to court, his resentment hardens into a plan to frame the foreman for murder. This episode of Suspense, first broadcast on November 29, 1955, follows Jordan's account of his scheme as it unfolds, including how he manufactures a motive and sets up the evidence against Charlie. Sam Edwards stars in the production.

Characters: Joe Jordan, Charlie Harris, Harriet Slate, Marty, Rocky
Listen for: Jordan's increasingly self-satisfied narration of the plan, and the moment he reveals the scheme to the listener
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
