What happens

Hubert Mummery, a businessman, begins to suspect that his new housekeeper, Sutton, may be the poisoner Carolyn Andrews, who is wanted for killing three people through her cooking. Small disturbances at home, his partner Brooks's remarks about the Andrews case, and a sudden illness in the household push his fear and suspicion steadily higher. Mummery finds that newspaper clippings about the case have been removed and burned, and a weed killer bottle has been tampered with. The episode is the Suspense play for February 10, 1944, starring Charles Ruggles in the lead role, from a story by Dorothy Elsie.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
