What happens
Ben Ford, raised by rancher Dan Sam after being found alone in the desert as a child, grows up with a bitter hatred of the gunman Kirby Hunsaker, who once took his prized horse. Ben, now a young man, sets out to confront Hunsaker after the notorious gunfighter has taken a horse from him. Their rivalry builds through a series of encounters that test Ben's loyalty and resolve, and Dan realizes that Ben's road is changing him in ways he cannot control. The story is presented as part of the Suspense radio series, first broadcast on May 4, 1958, and features Jackie Kelk in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
