What happens

Kay is pressed into impersonating Laura Morgan, the actress who has apparently vanished after her lover Jim Benson's night of violence. Jim has asked Kay for a divorce, and now he needs her to pose as Laura so that friends believe the woman is still alive and leaving for Europe. Kay struggles to imitate Laura's voice over the telephone while threatening calls unsettle her. Part of the story is told in this installment. The episode aired on Suspense on June 3, 1962, and stars Terry Keene and Larry Haynes.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
