The episode is part of the CBS series Suspense, and its dramatization is based on a real crime. Cornell Wild stars, and the broadcast aired on March 29, 1954.

Listen for: Eddie's escalating anger at his ex-wife and his conversation with Eileen during their evening together.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
