What happens

Frank Henderson, a Hollywood film director visiting New York with his newest picture, becomes curious about Gregory Sarko, a murderer whose body he has seen at police headquarters. Captain McNeil of the security bureau has shown him Sarko's file, and Henderson begins making his own inquiries into the dead man's life. His investigation draws him into a series of unsettling meetings with a stranger named Mr. Edwards, who offers to share information for a large sum of money. Henderson must decide how far to trust the man and what he is willing to get involved in. This Suspense play from March 1944 stars Joseph Cotton as Henderson.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
