What happens

On New Year's Eve, Dorothy Dale visits Derek Rolf at his country house, accusing him of knowing the criminal Shark Morgan. She tells him that her fiancé, Jerry Winton, is being held by police after a bank robbery at the City and Provincial Bank, where Morgan was seen. Dorothy believes Rolf is hiding something about the stolen money and suspects he was involved in the crime. As the two spar in the billiard room, Dorothy grows more determined to prove Winton's innocence, and tension rises between them while the snowbound house stays quiet and isolated.

A large, isolated country house near New York on New Year's Eve, mostly the billiard room, with snow outside and the city bank where the robbery took place.

Characters: Dorothy Dale, Derek Rolf, Jerry Winton, Shark Morgan, Chief of Police Joe Hollister

Listen for: Dorothy's confrontation with Derek Rolf in the billiard room, and the question of where the stolen money is hidden.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
