What happens
Eddie and his friend Sam, two accountants, discover that Sam has been embezzling from their firm for nine years to fund anonymous gifts for children and charities. The series Suspense, original air date December 22, 1949, is presented with Eddie Cantor and Sidney Miller in the leading roles.
New York City, in the days before Christmas, in an accounting office, a bookmaker's office and a racetrack.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
