What happens

Julie Roberts, a young girl, wants a dog for Christmas, but her parents refuse after her previous dog, Mike, was killed. One evening, while playing near Palmer Canyon, Julie and her friend Timmy find a small white husky hiding in the brush. Julie takes the injured animal home and hides it in the yard, hoping to keep it. Her parents, Ray and Anne, are unaware of the dog's presence as the town begins searching for it. The story is part of the Suspense radio series, which aired on December 22, 1957, and stars Evelyn Rudy as Julie.

Listen for: Julie's decision to hide the injured dog from her parents and the search for the animal that follows

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
