What happens
George Mason learns that his wife Lois plans to divorce him, and he worries that a divorce would give her half of the fortune he expects to inherit from his Uncle Bert under California's community property laws. After his uncle dies and the inheritance is revealed to be half a million dollars, George begins to plot to stop the divorce. The episode of Suspense, broadcast on CBS on April 10, 1947, stars Kirk Douglas as George and Kathy Lewis as Lois.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
