What happens

American psychologist Henry Pajoli visits Port of Spain, Trinidad, and is drawn into the murder of a bride, found dead in a Hindu temple on the morning after her wedding. Her new husband, Budman Lal, has been arrested, along with five beggars who slept in the temple and were found carrying pieces of the bride's jewelry. Pajoli's host, Mr. Lowell, and Pajoli himself go to the temple and question the beggars, then visit Mr. Hira Das, the wealthy uncle of the accused man, who hires them to clear his nephew. Pajoli develops a theory about the beggars' strange dreams and the source of the jewelry. This is a Suspense episode from 1942, adapted from a story by T. S. Stribling and performed by Paul Stewart, Barry Kroger and Horace Bray.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
