What happens
Perry White and Jimmy Olsen search for Lois Lane in a ramshackle, abandoned mansion on the outskirts of Metropolis. After hearing the talking Siamese cat plead for help in Lois's voice, they drove there alone, unable to reach Clark Kent. Inside, strange whispers, laughter and a slammed door unsettle them, and they search the dark rooms with a match and then a flashlight. Lois's voice seems to call from somewhere nearby, but they cannot find her. Jimmy puts forward a theory about the cat, and Perry resolves to search every room, leaving the boy alone in the darkness. This is part six of The Adventures of Superman, a radio series, first broadcast on January 16, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
