What happens
Jimmy Olsen and Professor Twiddle are trapped in a dark underground cave beneath the surface of the moon after Superman disappears while searching for a way out. Jimmy and the professor are left alone beside a swift underground river inhabited by yellow-eyed lizards. The professor, distracted by hunger and his scientific interest in the strange creatures, tries to plan an escape. Strange rumblings and a violent wind then shake the cave, and the professor vanishes from Jimmy's side without explanation. This is part fourteen of The Adventures of Superman, a radio serial, and this episode first aired on March 6, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
