What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen, disguised as Inca warriors, fail to rescue Perry White, Lois Lane and their pilot Bronson, and all five are imprisoned in a dungeon beneath the Inca palace. Kent, using his strength as Superman, opens a passage in the dungeon wall and sets out with White to explore the city. Looking through a window, they see the Inca chiefs in council, who order the prisoners brought up. Kent and White lose their way in the passages, and find a prisoner named John Craig, one of the highway engineers. Craig guides them back toward the dungeon, but they discover that the cell is empty and their friends have been taken. The chiefs, led by Narrow, question Lois about her friends' escape and set a deadline for her to speak. This is the first part of the episode of The Adventures of Superman, broadcast on December 3, 1941.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
