What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane are on different paths when Lois is taken aboard a westbound train by Carl Schroeder and his henchman Manfred. Lois is held in a locked drawing room after a telegram she sent to Perry White is destroyed. Clark, back in Metropolis, learns from a hotel clerk that Lois left with two men and suspects Schroeder. He arranges a private plane to San Francisco, then changes into Superman and flies west to pursue the train. Schroeder plans to leave the train at Carson City and continue by automobile. This is the 1946 chapter of The Adventures of Superman.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
