What happens
Jimmy Olsen, a young reporter for the Daily Planet, has infiltrated a gang of juvenile hoodlums led by a boy named Muggs. The gang works for an organization that spreads racial and religious intolerance under the name Guardians of Civil America. Jimmy learns that an attack is planned against a member of a committee raising funds for a community clubhouse for youngsters of all faiths. When Muggs and Lefty trail him to Clark Kent's apartment, Jimmy calls the Daily Planet and Mr. White tells him to stay put. Superman carries Jimmy back to the pool room to establish an alibi. Muggs is not fully convinced, and Jimmy learns that editor Perry White is now a target as well. This is the Adventures of Superman, from 1946 with Superman in the title role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
