What happens
Clark Kent and cub reporter Jimmy Olsen work to protect members of a Metropolis building committee from a hate-mongering group, the Guardians of America, whose young henchmen, led by Muggs, have planned bomb attacks on local leaders. Jimmy has learned of a plot to rig a car engine with an explosive, but the intended target is unclear because the minister they first suspected owns no car. Father Sheen and the committee plan to lure out the group's hidden leader by staging a fake newspaper story about vandalized paintings. Meanwhile, the leader reads a Daily Planet article announcing a $10,000 donation from editor Perry White and begins planning a new attack. The episode is set in Metropolis during the Unity House fundraising effort.
