What happens
Jimmy Olsen, a cub reporter for the Daily Planet, has infiltrated a hate-spreading organization in Metropolis. He has been given a meeting with its mysterious leader, who stays hidden behind a black velvet curtain. The leader orders Jimmy to slash valuable paintings at an art gallery owned by a man named Klein. Jimmy and Clark Kent plan a way to avoid damaging the paintings while keeping the gang's trust. Later, Jimmy goes out with the hoodlums, including Muggs, and is set on a dangerous attack on a synagogue connected to Rabbi Stone. Jimmy tries repeatedly to reach Clark Kent by phone to warn him, but the call goes unanswered as the gang grows closer to its target. The Adventures of Superman is a radio series, and this installment is part 13 of The Hate Mongers Organization storyline, first aired May 2, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
