What happens
Superman returns to Metropolis after failing to track down the Nazi scientist Dertoyfeld, who has a piece of Kryptonite. In the laboratory of Dr. James Millison, Superman learns that the Kryptonite is dangerously pure and that Dertoyfeld has spoken of creating an atom man. Millison promises a detector that will warn of Kryptonite nearby. Meanwhile, at the Metropolis Daily Planet, editor Perry White rails at Clark Kent's frequent disappearances. Part 10 of The Adventures of Superman, first aired on October 23, 1945, ends with a young man named Henry Miller arriving at White's office seeking a reporting job.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
