What happens
Clark Kent and Inspector Henderson investigate a fire in a secret basement laboratory, where they find Dr. Olofsky murdered and a dying man named Krause. Krause mumbles that Toyfel has gone, and traces of Kryptonite turn up in a test tube. Kent suspects the dead man is not Olofsky at all, but someone disguised in his clothes. The two men rush to alert the police across Europe and set out to track down Toyfel, who may be carrying the Kryptonite. The episode is part three of The Adventures of Superman, first aired on October 12, 1945.
A charred secret basement laboratory in Metropolis, then Inspector Henderson's police headquarters radio room.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
