What happens
Superman is on the trail of the Scarlet Widow, who has hidden a fragment of Kryptonite in her penthouse apartment. Clark Kent, weakened by the glowing green metal, sends Jimmy Olsen to take a sample to Dr. John Milliken, a physicist at the University of Metropolis laboratory. Milliken agrees to study the Kryptonite and find a defense against it. Meanwhile, in a hidden basement laboratory, a scientist named Teufel, with his henchman Kraus, tries to dissolve the same substance, and reveals plans for an atom man. The Adventures of Superman is a radio series; this episode aired on October 10, 1945.
