What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane search for editor Perry White, who has vanished after leaving the Daily Planet with $10,000 in cash. Believing he was headed to a theatrical rooming house at 407 Clover Street, they go there, but find only a piano teacher's studio where the house should be. Clark suspects a mix-up with the street name and they set off to check other addresses. Meanwhile, Clark learns by telephone that a caller impersonating him has sent Jimmy Olsen off with the same money. This episode of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on April 4, 1946, is the fourth part of a serial story.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
