What happens

Dr. George Haven Beecham and his daughter Elsie are left in a burning house after a theft from his safe. Clark Kent, who has been investigating at the suburban hideaway, learns that the sacred Emerald of the Incas has been taken by men flying an autogiro. Kent leaves the house and sets off in pursuit, and the priests of Azatlan escape over the water. Superman then appears over the sound, where the priests are arguing among themselves and a fire burns back at the house. Meanwhile Elsie realises a taxi driver is trapped in the cellar, and Kent rescues him. The episode ends with Dr. Beecham finding a priest's amulet and deciding to follow the thieves to the airport.

A suburban house on the shore near the sound, the surrounding trees and lawn, the waters of the sound, and the Central Airport.

Listen for: Superman's flight over the sound and his encounter with the priests of Azatlan in the autogiro.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
