What happens
Superman lies helpless inside a huge atom-smashing cyclotron in a mountain laboratory near Metropolis, where the villain Mr. Jones and the scientist Professor Noshima are running the machine. Batman and Robin, who had been trailing Mr. Jones, fight their way into the laboratory after a truck breakdown at the foot of the mountain. Mr. Jones threatens to turn a dial that will destroy Superman, and the heroes must decide what to do while the cyclotron's atomic reaction begins. The Adventures of Superman, a serial on the Mutual network, is presented here in its 24th installment from January 7, 1946, with the lead actors not identified in the transcript.
