What happens
Superman and Batman, with Robin, search the Daily Planet's back issues for a story about a $50 million robbery that Robin overheard a bank impersonator planning. They find an article describing the Metropolis Banknote Corporation's final run of paper money, with the full sum stored in its vaults. The heroes fly to the old building on Lower Dock Street, where they watch for the impostor Superman. As the clock nears one in the morning, they spot a car, and then learn that the false Superman has entered a tunnel beneath the bank company's vault. The episode ends with the heroes preparing to face him.
