What happens
Superman protects Tommy Lee, a young Chinese-American pitcher on the Unity House baseball team, from the Clan of the Fiery Cross, a hooded group of bigots. Jimmy Olsen, who defended Tommy, is also in danger. Behind the locker room, a clan member plots to injure Tommy with a bat during a game, and Superman intervenes at the batting cage. Tommy goes on to pitch a strong game and his team leads in the semi-final against Central Playground. After the match, the clan's leader, Matt Riggs, calls a meeting and urges his followers to attack the Lee home. This is the Adventures of Superman radio series, first broadcast on June 13, 1946.
