What happens

Commander Buzz Corry and Cadet Happy investigate a rare blue rock called Transplutite, which contains the valuable gem Arcturium. Two smugglers, Rupp and Corbo, have brought samples to a gem dealer on Neptune, and the dealer is later found beaten and unconscious. Buzz and Happy trace white pumice dust and enamel flakes from the smugglers' ship and link them to the long-lost space explorer Captain Hartog. Their search points toward a small, rarely observed planetoid. Space Patrol, the 1953 radio adventure series, is heard here in its first broadcast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
