What happens
Commander Buzz Corey and Cadet Happy investigate trouble at Calm Relay 4, a communications station orbiting Saturn. Its two keepers, Jim Colmar and Jack Perkins, have been acting strangely, and Happy is in danger of falling under their influence. Space Patrol is a radio series, and this episode was first broadcast on March 7, 1953, with Ed Kemmer as Commander Corey. Corey learns that Colmar and Perkins have been drawn to strange glowing crystals that seem to control their thoughts, and he must decide how to respond before the station's operations are compromised. The story continues as the crystals' influence grows stronger and the men become more difficult to reason with.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
