What happens
Buzz Corey and Happy are trapped in an underground passage on Mercury when Corey suddenly vanishes before the eyes of Major Robertson. Earlier, Boris Gombein, a wealthy eccentric, used a mysterious device called the N-ray to steal two million credits from the Terra Bank vault without leaving any trace. Gombein's secretary Mark Duncan and inventor Dr. Farndahl are drawn into the scheme, and Gombein is determined to destroy evidence that the N-ray exists. Space Patrol investigates the robbery and the disappearance. The episode is from the series Space Patrol, first broadcast on December 26, 1953.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
