What happens

Buzz Corey and Cadet Happy drive a surface car through the Venus Mountains toward the Space Patrol testing grounds. Unknown to them, a hidden cylinder is leaking sleeping gas into the vehicle, and the car nears a dangerous cliff edge. Earlier, in Venus City, electronic brain operator Anton McDermott meets with client Brandon Fergus at Future Incorporated, a computer firm run for dishonest investors. McDermott's computer, built on his late father's recorded knowledge, begins sending garbled messages that seem to call for Corey's destruction. The episode is in progress and this guide covers only its opening portion.

The 30th century; Venus City and the Venus Mountains on the planet Venus, with the Space Patrol testing grounds nearby.

Characters: Buzz Corey, Cadet Happy, Anton McDermott, Brandon Fergus, Gilson

Listen for: The sleeping gas cylinder in the car and the approaching cliff edge, and McDermott's computer messages spelling out Corey's name.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
