What happens

Commander Buzz Corey and Cadet Happy investigate a patient in room 399 of the telehospital who escaped after a violent struggle at a spaceport. The man refuses to reveal his identity, displays strength beyond any known human, and seems to come from another solar system. Corey and Happy trace the escape to Earth's Spaceport Number 7 in the American Southwest, where a roadside hotel keeper named Hank Hodges appears to be connected to the case. Space Patrol, the ABC radio series, aired on January 15, 1955, with Ed Kemmer as Corey and Lyn Osborn as Happy.

The telehospital and headquarters of the Space Patrol, a spaceport on Earth, and the desert ruins of the Zunapi region in the American Southwest, in the 30th century.

Characters: Buzz Corey, Happy, Hank Hodges, Orkan, Dr. Mannheim, Shardu

Listen for: The patient's claim that he is Orkan from the planet Dargita, and Corey's discovery that the escaped man and Hank Hodges are both from another solar system.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
