What happens

Commander Corey and cadet Happy of the Space Patrol investigate after a secret spaceship with a new star drive vanishes from a locked hangar at the lunar fleet base. The ship's designer, Meyerhof, is at a loss to explain it, and the search leads to Jano Calmer, a convicted fraudster who has escaped from a criminal rehabilitation center on Mars. The series, Space Patrol, first aired on July 24, 1954. The transcript is partly garbled, so the account of the story here is limited to its opening portion.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
